After 3 days and multiple hrs of practice I have given up on using the DecalPro system. I was never able to get good results or even make the system work. Will be looking for an alternative way to label the panel.

Wired power and ground to pmags switches. Added annex to shop. We have the main door opened up with 2" foam roof and front. Added 4 foot to the existing shop length.

Drilled throttle plate to carbon panel. Used 4 nut plates to attached. Drilled and riveted nut plates to panel. Decided on location of pmag switches, marked location and drilled. Used S700-2-10 switch.

Drilled carbon panel for radio insert platenuts. Replaced 1 PEM nut that came loose. Drilled firewall for throttle/mixture pass thru and installed. Installed wire pass thru that we fabricated. Started to take down paint booth. Ordered wiring supplies from Stein.

Filed radio insert to size. Respaced radio rack attach brackets. Had set at 6 1/4" but radio racks are 6 5/16". Drilled for PEM nuts.

Added PEM nuts to Aerosport panel for #6 screws that attach throttle bracket. Cut and fit EFIS panel insert. Took a lot of filing to get it just right. Clamped in place and drilled to carbon panel.

Countersunk holes for throttle reinforcement. Riveted on using AN426 rivets. Countersunk for #6 screws that hold throttle bracket to panel. Started to look at wiring for GRT Avionics.

Drilled 2 1/2" hole in aluminum to test fit fresh air vents. Fit is good. Drilled holes in Aerosport panel for fresh air vents.

Made poster board templates for panel insert cutouts. Transferred to old RANS panel to cutout and test fit. Can use aluminum for radio stack. Will need to buy aluminum for EFIS panels due to RANS panel screw holes showing on inserts.

Used Dremel with a sanding disk and sanded wall thickness of carbon panel to fit subpanel. Filed subpanel for alignment. Clamped carbon panel in place and back drilled using PEM nuts for location. Countersunk holes for flush screws.

Back to work after returning from OSH.
Countersunk #6 screw location for holding Aerosport panel to Rans panel. Installed screws. Test fit for alignment with carbon panel. Started to trim carbon for fit.

Enlarged the holes in the RANS subpanel for PEM nut clearance. Drilled the throttle bracket to the aerosport panel. Studied the plans for the remaining steps.

Back drilled AeroSport panel to the RANS subpanel. Aligned angle for the radio stack and drilled to AeroSport subpanel. Angles are set at 6.25" spacing for radio trays.
